Out of Town Guest Bags

Does anyone have a long island guide or something they made up about the area to put in out of town bags? What goes in the bags usually? Any cute places to get bags?

i am putting water, candy, chocolate, chips, mints & gum in mine along with a little thank you poem.

Im getting plain black bags and printing stickers from vistaprint with a monogram/logo to put on each bag

I found a Long Islang Tourism website and they offered free LI guides! I emailed them and they sent me 12! It was a nice touch to the bags.

Other than that we also included: 2 bottles of water, oreos, gum, tic tacs, LI post card, granola bars, travel size chocolates and a thank you note.

Never been but was planning on checking the tourism hut thingy on the southern state parkway...Its heading eastbound on the right ...def in the beginning of the parkway where the belt becomes the southern..in between there and the valley stream exits.
