Out of Towners- Hilton in Melville

Hi all,
My guests are staying at the Hilton in Melville. I am providing out of town bags for each room. In the bag, I wanted to make a card listing out what there is to do in the area. I am not too familiar with the area so this would be helpful? Also is there a salon in the area that someone could recommend?

There is not a whole lot in the immediate area. Huntington Village (lots of shops, restaurants, bars) is not too far (about a 15 minute drive). Walt Whitman Mall is close by. Bethpage golf course is also close. I go to Self Image Salon in Amityville Village, which is probably about 10 minutes away from the hotel. Its a really nice salon and the people that work there are very friendly (ask for JP ) I'm sure there are also other nice salons along Route 110, going towards Huntington.

Self Image is probably closer to a 15-20 min drive depending on traffic.

Four Restauarant is right there, a Target about 5 minutes south on 110, Kodiak Bar and Grill is about 7 minutes south. There's also a few fast food places around there on 110.

Adventureland Amusement Park is about 5 mins South on 110. Walt Whitman Mall is about 10 mins North. There are movie theatres and many places to eat about 10 mins South on 110, as well as a Dave and Busters if you have children coming.

I dont know any salons in the area unfortunately.
