What are you using to hold down your runner? Obviously I cant use tape on the grass. Any suggestions?

we're getting married outdoors and my BM suggested that we don't use an aisle runner. So we're not - just one more thing not to have to worry about. Sorry I can't help =(

A bed of petals would be perfect but I cant even have petals (go figure, and its a garden). But I made a personalized runner so I would love to lay it down

can you line both sides of the runner with a decorative paper bag (filled with sand for weight) every two feet or so?

I wanted to avoid that. I was thinking drive 2 nails in each end??

that sounds risky. one good breeze and it might tear the whole runner. or, worse yet, if one of the sides comes up or turns up you could trip!

BM recommended not to have it for outside-maybe rose petals

I heard you could trip on the runner, so we aren't doing it at all.

I never thought to ask if we can lay rose petals, but I don't know if it would be an issue.

If I couldn't line with rose petals Id do little pots of planted flowers along the aisle.

I went to a outside wedding and unfortunately right before the bride came down they took it away cause it was to windy.
My hall don't recommend it SO IM doing rose petals on each side

What if you put plants or potted flowers on each end?

I would put pillars with flowers in a vase to hold it down or tall plants.... make fake ones from AC Moore

Our florist told us it's NOT a good idea for runners outside...grass or cement.HTH
