Hi, just got engaged and looking to have a June 08 wedding. I am looking for a non-church outdoor ceremony site. Can anyone suggest a good one? Thanks!

Well first off- CONGRATS!!!! Welcome to the site... All of the girls on here are GREAT! They all have so many wonderful ideas and are willing to help when they can!
I don't know what area you are from on the Island and if you have any preferences to the location. But if you are willing to travel out East... I would suggest checking out the East Wind. We are having our wedding there in May. The ceremony is outside and then the cocktail hour is both inside and outside. The reception is inside. Thank you SO much for your quick response! I really would love to have a ceremony in LI at one of those mansions. By the water, on the grass would be ideal for our June wedding. Since we have many families in Queens, it would be great if it's not too far from Queens...Thanks again!!!

We wanted the same thing and are having our ceremony at DeSeversky Center at NYIT...gorgeous!!

The E.W is definitely out then. It's sooooo far out East! But I have heard great things about Crest Hollow and that's a lot closer. Hope you find your dream place!

If these are your criteria than you really should look into DeSeversky b/c I had the same issues. Its a mansion, approx. 20 mins from Queens ( where I live) and plenty of grass w/ a pond beyond the back patio of the mansion.
