You guys are all so informative, thought maybe you could help me out w/ this one...
FH and I want to have the ceremony outside, more specifically, on a bluff, grassy cliff, elevation, what have you, overlooking the water. We wanted ocean but didn't want the whole sand/beach thing so we've always kinda envisioned the 'bluff' thing. I know sunken meadow state park has some areas like that, but the state park rules are pretty strict (no decorations, chairs, etc). The montauk lighthouse is the right idea, but a bit too far and getting there in the summer is kind of a nightmare. I have seen other recommendations such as callahan's beach, smithtown park , etc but have not been able to find any info on them. We don't really want a RH ceremony w/ water, we'd rather the 'natural' setting. Anyway, we're open to suggestions, or if anyone has any specific info on locations (website, who to contact, etc.) that would be wonderful!!
I know it sounds really specific, but I figured we'd at least try before going with plan B.
Thanks in advance!!

Re: outdoor ceremony site
I know the Old Field Light House is situated on a bluff but not sure what the restrictions are for a wedding, if any. http://www.birdsandbeacons.com/Lighthouses/OldFieldPtLight.htm ETA: It over looks the Long Island Sound
