Hi everyone I am new to this site... and so glad i found it! we are getting married at the end of July 2009 .. We want an outdoor reception........ We dont have a big budget so was looking for advice on a good place to have a simple but classy outdoor summer reception with about 150 people any ideas would be great!? thank you! happy holidays!

You should check out The Old Field Club. They have outdoor ceremonies and their cocktail hour during the summer are both indoor & outdoor. Their entire ballroom has french doors all along it that go out onto the deck (where the cocktail hour is) so I'm sure you could open those up and have an indoor/outdoor feel. It would also be great incase your weather doesn't go right. It's absolutely beautiful, it's reasonably priced, it can accommodate upto 180ppl, it's on the water and the food is out of this world. check out the photo's on mine....the venue had it's good point and it's bad points...but they have a lot of outdoor space and were able to make it happen on short notice on a Saturday night in July.(I didn't book until late May!!!) That being said I had some food and beverage issues...but the setting was beautiful. We loved our band BTW!
