I'm desperately trying to find a summertime outdoor venue for our reception. We are very outdoorsy people and love the water. I'd love to have almost a Cape Cod type reception where things are 'casually elegant' with plenty of greenery. I'd also definitely considering renting someone's home and having the reception there maybe if it were waterside. Does anyone happen to have any suggestions? You would think living on an island this wouldn't be that hard too find... thanks!! :)

You didn't mention the size of your wedding or your budget, but Crescent Beach Club, Glen Island, Harbour Club, Surf Club, Chateau La Mer come to mind.

Ok...I totally suggest Mill Pond Country Club. It is beautiful there. It is right on a golf course. They have beautiful gardens and ponds with fountains. They are very reasonable too...they can work in any budget!! HTH

I would suggest lands end for the beachy feel or vineyar caterers for a more country laid back wedding. If you have a high budget I would check out Driftwood farms of pellegrini vineyards.

I would check out The Riviera in Massapequa, The Old Field Club, West Sayville CC, Lands End or Crescent Beach Club.

We wanted a casual outdoor beach wedding and chose Gurney's for our ceremony and reception and it was perfect. If you want something a little different and fun, you should check them out.
