Outdoor Venue

Hi,

I'm new to this site and I need some advice. I'm newly engaged and my fiance and I have decided to have a very short engagement and get married this summer. Obviously this is last minute so I need suggestions for an outdoor venue.

I'm looking for anything from a beach site to a grassy garden type venue. We want it to be casual not formal and I'm willing to hire someone for setting up tents and bringing in catering. I'm not looking to spend tons of money on the site as I would like to use it more for food and entertainment.

Thanks to everyone in advance.

Re: Outdoor Venue

if you book last minute you will always get a deal, (my friend did this- she got married in a 6week period and got capt. bills for $65pp) but i'll forewarn you that getting married over the summer is always expensive- it's peak season. you can consider the pavilion at sunken meadow state park (Lessings caterers), or you can go to a town park and ask them about getting a permit... you may be limited to having it during the day though because town parks close at dusk. vineyards are amazing and you can get a good deal in the summer because their peak season is the fall- they also require site fees and you have to bring in your own caterer etc... either way, you will find something perfect for you and your FH! good luck!
