Outer Envelopes ??

Here's a question...

Outer envelopes - do you put the & Guest?? Which is correct - number 1 or 2?

1. Mr. Michael Barn
2. Mr. Michael Barn & Guest

I know the & Guest goes on the inner envelope...but what about the outside?

I have received it both ways (FH's family still teases me that I am called 'Guest')

I think I am only going to put it on the inside when I do my invites.
