So... is anyone heading to do that really early shopping thing at the outlets on friday AM?? I have heard that people go insane and that prices are phenominal, but I have never been because Riverhead was so...well far...but I am house/dog sitting in Commack so I am a stone throw from the outlets. Will I be seeing any of my LIW ladies that bright and early morning??

We did the Riverhead @ midnight thing one year and never again!!

I tried to go last year but at midnight I was about 5 exits away on the LIE with tracking not moving for over an hour so I turned around. Ill be in Virginia this year so we will see if they have outlets there

I do it every year and love it! But I should warn you... last year it took us 2 hours to go 2 exits and then most of the entrances into the parking lots were closed. We finally got into the center and it was like Times Square in the parking lot. A mad house!!!
But by 3am (ish) it definiately settled down.
My suggestion, get there early (we are getting there like 10:30) or go later on (3-4am). The sales are on most of the night even though they start at 12am.
Go to Tangers website to see which store has what sales.
Oh and we dont even attempt the food court. We bring sandwiches and eat in the car.

I did it last year... If you do it... Go there and park your car in the lot at like 7.. And then have someone drop you off.. Because by the time 10 comes along the parking lot is packed and you have to park a ways down..
The prices are great and yes it is packed. But I still had fun.

I heard that Tanger in Deer Park is opening at midnight. I am sure it is on the website. I think I got an email about it about a week ago because I am on a mailing list.
I also got a circular yesterday that the Queens Center Mall is opening at 4am! Ick.

I am going to be at FH's parents house this year and they live in Monroe, which is where the Woodbury Commons is. We are probably gonna go, but we'll see. FH HATES his town this time of year because you can't drive anywhere!

My sister and I tried woodbury commons last year...worst idea EVER!!!! The traffic was backed up all the way to the bridge.
