Okay so I saw a photographer's work on theknot.com that I really liked. I emailed her to inquire about her wedding pricing, and for some reason she was being very evasive with me. Finally she told me what her wedding pricing was....
For 2 photographers, and negatives------
$15,000!!!!!

and the worst part about it was, she has got to have the worst customer service skills i've ever seen!!! her emails were so curt and cold!!! i'm like lady, if youre trying to get my business, it aint workin!

I didn't even get a quote from the photographer we had an appt with. I let her(Debbie) know that my FH wouldn't be coming w/me and instead, I'd be bringing my MOH. I let her know that he had already said whatever makes me happy is fine w/him. And her response was: 'Well, I think he'll care when I tell you how expensive our prices are!' I was silent for once. This woman was so obnoxious & said that it would be a waste of my time & her time to come to the appt. BTW... I never even told her my budget or ANYTHING!!!! I wonder if it was the same photographer.

this photographer is actually from florida. i figured that since i'm in florida more often than NY, i could check out some photographers there and maybe fly them up to ny for our wedding. i thought this may be a cheaper option, since alot of the nyc photographers that i've been looking at are a little pricey. boy was i wrong!!!!

I've heard of figures for photographers in the city being 8K, but never 15K!!!

There is an extra 0 in that quote!
For that price, I would expect every picture to be touched up like a magazine ad--not that I'd even want that and not that I'd pay $15,000 for a photographer.
