Re: Outrigger Waikiki?
We went there a bunch of years ago ('96). Location is great; Duke's Canoe Club is one of the best places to hang! Hotel rooms are basic; nothing special. Two of my biggest complaints, however, about Waikiki (besides how crowded it is): huge flying roaches and tons of prostitutes up and down Kalakaua Avenue! Watch out!

Re: Outrigger Waikiki?
I think they had a 'roach outbreak' that year...I've been to Hawaii after that and didn't see any. As for the prostitutes, maybe they popped out of the woodwork too since there were a ton of Navy ships docked in port!

Re: Outrigger Waikiki?
I used to live in Waikiki, right off of Kalakaua actually and I personally wouldn't go there for my honeymoon. Not saying it's not absolutely gorgeous, but like people have said, there are a lot of hookers walking the beat. We actually used to go out an watch them hassle the Japanese men for fun! The beaches are OK. VERY touristy. I would suggest checking out the North Shore or Honolulu. There are fun places, bars, restaurants, but it's pretty city/touristy in Waikiki.
