Anyone planning an outdoor ceremony at night? I hope to have my ceremony outdoors (weather permitting; mid October) and just realized that it will be after the sun has already gone down. I've never been to an outdoor ceremony at night, and just wondering if anyone has been to one, or is planning one? Just trying to get an idea for the feel of an outdoor night ceremony...

Re: Outside Ceremony
that could be very romantic, if you line the aisle with tall candle sticks or lights and then you have the altar all lit up. i dont know why, but im picturing trista and ryans wedding ... but i think there was tons of lights even tho it was night time.
i like the idea

Yes you are right...Trista and Ryan's wedding was outside!! And it was romantic! I am definitely thinking lots of candles lining the aisle...I LOVE that idea!! :)

Awwwwwwww that does sound romantic. I'm having an outside ceremony (weather permitting of course) but mine will be in July at 7pm when the sun will still be setting so it won't be dark yet.

I think it would be very romantic. It's a nice time of year and by that time you should have to worry about bugs and stuff. With candles and pretty lighting it'll look so beautiful!!

We're having a sunset ceremony at 6:30 October 9. I think it will be beautiful, or at least I hope so!

Re: Outside Ceremony
I went to an outdoor ceremony at night - there were only a few lights, and candles, and it was beautiful.......plus, nobody complained about the hot sun beating down on them like they do at day weddings!

Re: Outside Ceremony
I am having one in a vineyard...i can't wait for the romance of it. Def go with candles or lanterns...sort of a 'midsummer nights dream' feel.
i have been warned that if it is summer and you are in gardens or nature, you should advise guests to come prepared with something to battle the bugs! They love to come out as it cools down at night. just something to think about...skin so soft is a great, non smelly insect repellant to try!
