Oval vs Round Tables

Has anyone been to a wedding with Oval tables?? How did it look and how were the CP on the table?

im wondering the same thing... the tables at my RH are oval and i feel like i need long center pieces as opposed to tall

Maybe you guys can put stuff around it, like votive candles to elongate the CP

ours are oval too...think we'll be fine since there are plates, silverware, glasses everywhere

i went to a wedding 2 weeks ago and the tables were oval. I actually really liked it, everyone had a lot of room, no one was on top of eachother. And the CP were low, just some flowers with a candle in the center. the table didnt look empty, look very elegant

Are you doing Oval tables at NRC? FH and I are thinking about it right now. This is a pic that I saw and fell in love with the idea.

We have oval tables. This is what ours would look like.
They told me there I cant put the votives around the hurricane holder b/c the plates would be in the way, so I stretched it out and put the votives like I have it.

My RH has oval tables. I really wanted round tables because I think they are a better conversation setting and my centerpieces would look better on a round table. But unfortunatelly I can't sway them to give me round tables. To bad so sad

my RH has only oval tables. i have one medium sized CP in the middle. i asked my florist if i needed 2 side smaller centerpieces and she said no that the table would be really full with plates and glasses since the oval tables are narrower than round so she said i should just put small votives around it. i think it will look fine.

FH has reservations on the oval tables too, he's thinking it might feel like your sitting in a school lunch room!

My friend had oval tables at Land's End and had small, low CPs... they looked great!

I am having Oval tables as well... still not sure how I am going to work the centerpiece, but will probably just set it up the same as if it were round tables, gives people more room

I think we're going to stick with the round tables. As much as I like the oval, I just think the room at NRClooks so nice with the round.
but then again i've never seen it with the oval so i really dont know how it would look lol

at CLM they have long tables so for my e-party i did the same concept...its good to do one thing in the middle and then two other things to the side. Honestly, its great bc you have so many more options for what you can do. I have round but would've loved longer tables

we have oval tables and are doing 3 low floral centerpieces with votive candles and florets strewn between them...i'll let you know how it looks after THIS SATURDAY!
