Re: Over 35+ brides ?

I was 34 when I got married and did the same exact thing I would of done if I got married at 22. The only exception was no chicken dances, macarana's or garter toss...BTW I married a younger man...ummm..ummmmm

Re: Over 35+ brides ?

Go all out! Have a blast! Don't give age a second thought. Yes, maybe 30 years ago getting married in your 30's was considered old, but these days, I think getting married before you are in your late 20's makes you the minority. Seems that the average age these days is 29-30!

Re: Over 35+ brides ?

I am 32 and FH is 34. We are getting married in 24 days
I am having a nupital mass, 130 person formal reception, band- the whole nine yards. I don't consider myself an 'older' bride but I know that I am older than most of my friends when they got married. I waited to find Mr. Right, not Mr. RightNow and it took me 32 years but I found him
A wedding is a personal decision and you need to do what will make you happy and you can financially afford to do.

Re: Over 35+ brides ?

I'll be 38 when I get married and my FH will be 39. Both of us are getting married for the first time. We are having a traditional wedding.

Re: Over 35+ brides ?

I was 36 when I got married and my hubby was 33 and it was the first marriage for both of us and we had a full-traditional wedding. I had one comment when I got engaged of 'you're going to have a big wedding at your age', like I was 100 years old or something. But my comment back was why should I be deprived of the wedding of my dreams because I was a bit 'older' then what the 'norm' is?!!!! And what EXACTLY is the 'norm'???? That so ****ed me off! Just because my Mr. Right got lost trying to find me all those years -- typical male, wouldn't ask for directions!!!! LOL

The only thing I didn't do was the garter/bouquet toss because there weren't that many single people and I didn't have the big bridal party I always wanted only because I had more girls then he had guys!!!
