Over Budget

How much over budget are you? FH and I just reviewed our budget and if we stick to our allotted budget for all the remaining items we need to buy we will only be a few hundred dollars over. Not too bad but we still have to get rings, favors, invitations!

Origanally we started at $28,000, then went to $30,000 then to $37,000 when we added our 18 day honeymoon the photo booth and DOC. I still think we did really well with the wedding for all we are getting. Thank god we decided to get married on a Sunday afternoon we saved a lot of money by doing this. We def bargained a great deal and got some amazing prices for vendors!!!

am I the only one who didn't have an actual budget? my goal was to price everything out and do it AS CHEAP as POSSIBLE.

Us too! At this point, we have no idea what we are spending.

same. we didnt really do a budget, we just priced things out and tried to get the best price we thought we could. We're at lke $26,000 and i still wanna add some stuff but i'm fighting with FH and since hes stressed about money i'm not pushing it right now

im so friggin hoping my law suit settles before the wedding

I had a budget for the venue - and was under that. Since my parents are paying for most of the wedding, I wanted to keep their pockets into consideration.

My FMIL had a budget for the flowers and band - that was met as well.

The extras and photographer was all on me - and that's where any budget went out the window

you ladies are prolly going to kill me but we are actually a little under budget but we have not done a HM yet because we r not going on one right away

I have also been planning for 2 years so i had a long time to shop around and get good prices

We are over budget because of the honeymoon. Does that count as part of the wedding budget?

We are about $25,000 over the 'original' budget....currently at about $64,000 including HM.....and paying for it ourselves (I mean FH is paying for it lol, I am still finishing up my doctorate....good thing we booked most of our vendors when we got engaged in 2009)

Let's just say that we were $500 over budget when we booked the hall. Not $500 over the hall budget, $500 over the total budget. I think our original budget was unrealistically low, but we're basically doubling it and more.
