Overwhelmed

I know I am more of a lurker than a poster, but I felt the need to post...

FH and I closed on our house today but I can't help but feel like it is awful timing. I just noticed today our wedding is in 113 days and I have so much stuff still to do. And now there is this house that needs painting and moving into....CRAZINESS

As your weddings approach in 08, is anyone else feeling really overwhelmed? Or like you are going to forget this huge detail and not realize it until the last minute? I am having a super small and low key wedding compared to some, but still feel like I am forgetting things.

im feeling a bit overwhelmed too.....

we still have to book a videographer and florist

we have to figure out what hotel we are using and what kind of transportation we will provide our guests with

i still have to order my dress - and BM dresses

i have to find a location to take our pictures before our ceremony that allows indoor photos

we have to get the exact list for our wedding so we can design and send out std's

we have to send a deposit so we can book our officiant

and a million and one other things! but as of now those are top priority and the more i think about it, the more nervous i feel.......

I think most of us feel overwhelmed from time to time, and those that aren't feeling that way yet, probably will the closer it gets to their wedding.

you're totally normal

have a painting party to get your house done. it's a ton of fun and actually gets people to help lol no one wanted to help us paint our new place, but the minute we said 'painting party' and had some beer and pizza available we couldn't keep people away.

A painting party...that's a really good idea!

Thanks everyone. Sometimes it is just nice to hear other people feel the same, especially when FH doesn't understand.

I was just thinking this earlier today... FH and I just moved into our new condo a month ago, the craziness of Christmas time is just winding down and all of a sudden... we have 4 months left!!! I knew that as soon as 2008 hit, I would start feeling like everything was real... it's REALLY happening! I'm so excited but at the same time I'm starting to freak out a little about all the stuff we still need to do.

We should probably start by booking our honeymoon, huh? Can't believe we still haven't done that!!!

I think we are all overwhelmed!!

Im sick Im so overwhelmed. Your not alone I keep freaking out that I wont have the money to pay my vendors in time. Unexpected bills keep rolling in and it's taking everything just to get that paid. I know somehow someway it'll get done but right now I feel like

We closed on our house in Aug, but now I just sent in the check for the 1rst half of the taxes and I am seriously BROKE like in the negatives I'm just hoping to God I get some kind of Christmas / New Year bonus...YES it is seriously overwhelming I know what you mean, I still have to do invites and I have NO money, literally.

first off congrats on the house closing! that is HUGE!

2nd.. yep.. i know exactly how u feel.. we go to contract on january 5th.. and have an anticipated closing date of 2/16.. which is our wedding date.. and im' pregnant.. i feel like there it's not possible to fit anything else into my situation than already is there.. fh wants the house to close so badly, he wants to do it before the wedding.. i'm like nope. go to contract, and we'll close AFTER we get bck frm our honeymoon.but i figure it will work itself out somehow.. when it gets to overwhelming i go take a nap.. lol

i personally can Not WAIT till april.. by then it should all be over.. house closing, wedding..

i feel the same way i have that much left to do


-invites (this weekend)
-tuxs
-pick out menu/cake (mid march)
-meet with church (early feb)
-do boudoir (sp?) pics
-send out invites once i get them
-go for hair/makeup trial
-BOOK HONEYMOON! (after Jan 10)
-pick out veil, headpiece & shoes
-order FG dress (im waiting for measurements)
-decide on shoes & accessories for BM (can you look at my dresses, they're in my album... green with pink sash, I dont know what color shoes/accessories.... HELP)
-bridal party gift
-favors
-dancing lessons
-pick songs for the band to play
-book bus for guests
-book hall between ceremony & RH
-figure out a place to take pictures after ceremony

Hmmmm lets see.... Am I missing anything else?
What other little things are there to do in the last months?

COMPLETELY overwhelmed. The closer the date, the more overwhelmed i feel. It is a lot to do and life doesn't stop for us to have our weddings!
