FH and I are looking for a RH by the water/beach for a July or August 2012 wedding without spending a million dollars....and suggestions? We looked at Bridgeview Yacht Club and I was not happy with the warehouse buildings all around it but I did love the RH. Today we are going to look at the Riviera in Massapequa...hope I

The Riviera is nice and def affordable, but its small.. how many people are you thinking about having??
They have some nice spots for pics outside too!

Not sure if you're interested in anything in the Bronx/Westchester but Marina Del Rey, Glen Island, Surf Club and VIP Country Club are all on the water.

I love Bridgeview but the location does stink.

I just had my engagement party at Chateau La Mer, and they did an amazing job...food and service was fantastic. They are quite reasonably priced, so you should def give it a look.

Chateau La Mer is ocean side AND you can ride up on a boat!
we were looking for hall that were near the water or had that vibe to it, ended up booking at crest hollow, its not beachy but its really pretty. especially since we are getting married at the RH

The Riviera & Chateau La Mer were both very reasonable & on the water..
also try Lombardi's on the Sound. A little more expensive than the above too but def worth taking a look!

Thats the thing as well we have approx 220 on our guestlist but ya know some are not going to be able to make it so I'm gonna say prob have to fit at least 150...

The Rivera is nice! I'm going to a wedding there in October.
Also may want to check our Timber point CC, West Sayville CC, which are also very affordable.

I'm crashing, but I'm having my wedding at the Riviera this summer, and they say it can fit over 200, but then you have to put the DJ upstairs. I would say anything over 175-180 would probably be cramped. But it is sooooooooo beautiful there, and definitely more affordable than a lot of places!
Also, I'm not sure what your budget is, but the Old Field Club is the same kind of feel as the Riviera, just farther out on the island. HTH!

my brother got married at Rivera and he had 153 people there, and everyone was comfortable. really nice place and the food was really good too they were trying to talk us into getting married there too lol

Of course I am partial to Venetian Yacht Club, but it is gorgeous and the rate was pretty reasonable. The bigger amount of ppl you can guarantee, the more they can work with you on the pp price.
