Who are some photographers you got your eye on? What are you looking for in a photographer as far as their style? If $$ were no object, who is the photographer of your dreams?

If money was no option, I would get Angelica Glass. I love her work.
I am looking at Thomas Paul, Patken, and Velvet right now. Might check out Duet too. I also know Joe Sanfilipo (family friend), and he has great work so I might use him.
I love black and white pictures. I like photojournalistic. I love candid shots and unique angles.

Good questions...
I'm checking out Patken first - then moving on to Lighthouse and Duet.
I just found Angelica Glass and WHOA her stuff is awesome - also Studio Blue has really great stuff!
I'm all about the photojournalistic style - I do like the traditional wedding photos too (for certain shots) but not everything. Candids are great - need full length shots, some times I feel those go missing when you get too artistic.

Imagine Studios is my photographer. I love that they do both photojournalistic and traditional shots. I also love how their work is very soft and romantic looking (not really modern). I also love how they are a very small company. If money were no object I would still go with Imagine Studios!!

The photogs on my list thus far are:
Ryan Brenizer Matthew Sowa Laura Ryan Erica Lyn Duet
I'm really looking for a photojournalistic style of photography. Not so many posed pictures but just photos that are shot 'in the moment'.
And if I could have my way, Angelica Glass would be my girl for the day. I'm obsessed with her work ever since she did my brother's friend's wedding in Bermuda!

Re: *~P is for Photographers~*
this comes at a perfect time! I just made my first photog appointment today!!!! Meeting Duet while I'm home for the holidays! soooo excited! I'm also planning on looking into Imagine Studios and FI N E A R T. I know there are others, yet I always seem to forget who they are, so I guess these are my top 3! If money was no object and I didn't hear bad things about them, I love B r e t t M a t t h e w s. Also love blue daisy
eta - as far as style - I'm def looking for a mix of photojournalistic and traditional....I love photojournalism, but I worry that I don't look my best in candid shots and I love the traditional ones of family members, but I think they get very boring at the same time, so I'm def looking for a nice mix.

Happy Monday/First Day of Winter Ladies!
Your letter of the week is...
P for Photographers!
Who are some photographers you got your eye on? What are you looking for in a photographer as far as their style? If $$ were no object, who is the photographer of your dreams?
It went in this order North Island Angelica Glass Blue Daisy.
I'm going to do my engagement photos in the spring with North Island (who I booked) but if I don't love them I'm switching.

Re: *~P is for Photographers~*
I have to say I've seen beautiful work from Angelica Glass, Thomas Paul, Imagine, & Duet.
But after seeing FSIL's proofs I knew I wanted Patken. They do a little bit of both the Photojournalistic & Traditional. I loved them all & am so excited to have Jessie as our Photographer. She did our E-Pics in Sept. and we were very happy
my two choices are Angelica Glass, Matthew Sowa. Not sure which one to go with yet!

Re: *~P is for Photographers~*
My dream photographers are 'Blue Daisy' and 'Modern Wedding' but both are so far out of my price range. I know people say, out of all things, don't skimp on photography because a good photographer will give you amazing photographs that last a lifetime, but even if I push my budget... I still can't afford it!
