paging 2003wedding.....

I read your question in the vendor's board (and now since we can't respond there anymore) I thought I'd answer your question here.

I was in the same position 2 years ago- that is I needed a passport ASAP! (for a spontanious vacation with my FH). I went to the post office (where they issue them) and told them I needed it right away. They told me that I can pay a $75 rush fee and they could get it to me with in 3 days. I had to send it by express mail that day. Tell her to make sure she has her original birth certificate or SS card. They will need to mail that with her application. She will also need a $ order and a passport pic.

what post office did you go to--do all post offices offer this?--i will tell her to check this out--she is getting nervous that she will not have it in time---she already has her picture--so hopefully this will help to speed things up--thank you so much for this info--i'll let you know what happens!! thanks!:)

I live in Smithtown, so I went to the Smithtown Post Office. ALL post offices do passports. She can just go to her local post office!

kelly thank you so much for the post office idea--i told her about it---she ended up going into the city today and i haven't spoken to her yet-so i don't know how she made out--i will fill you in on what happened later---thank you so much for that information and thanks to everyone else who posted too---she really appreciated the quick responses!!:)--though-she did tell me to post if anyone has a nice single brother !!LOL!!:)haha!

an update! ---she ended up going to the city and getting her passport --she is so relieved!! it took a good amount of 'waiting around time' in the city --but she had no choice but to wait!---thanks again for your help!
