I typically get them a couple times a year and almost always after I've been sick. Now I have one that is sooo severe, painful, and annoying. I'm using Abreva and icing it a few times a day. Does anyone have any other recommendations on how I can make this thing stop annoying me so much? TIA!

Not much you can do right now bc its already there. In the future you can take valtrex once you feel that tingeling feeling so it doesnt come at all. Ask your doc to prescribe it
