So we are closing in about 2 mths ( ) and the only thing we are really going to do at first as far as home improvements is paint the first floor. How did you decide what colors to use for, kitchen, living, room, bedrooms? My biggest concerns are the living room and master bedroom. We have sage green couches for the living room, what color for the walls? In the bedroom we have light wood furniture and our bedset is cream with beige flowers, i want a color to brighten things up but still match , any suggestions??

We have repainted every room in our hosue and we like to get the benjamin moore color samples. They are $3.99 each, but you can paint a bunch of them and then pick the color you like. We found it to be very helpful rather then blowing $25 on a color you then hate. We would then hold up the fabric, or carpet, molding, etc that we are trying to deisgn the room with and see what works best.Good luck!

Benjamin Moore sells a pallet of paint samples for $20. I would definitely buy that and sample a lot of different colors.
