Our bedding (when we buy it off our registry) is slate blue with navy accents. Our drapes are navy. What color could I paint our bedroom (either current or future one)? I want something that contrasts with blue. I was thinking maroon or brick - is that too harsh?
I was also thinking something along the lines of dusty purple (if that makes sense)
Any opinions/recommendations?

I would have never thought of a light dusty purple but my friend has similar color bedding to what you described and that is what she used for her walls and it looks great. I also have a room with blue bedding combo blue/gray and navy and did the walls yellow. All my accent pieces are combo blue and yellow.

How about a Pale Yellow...I would think the two colors you chose would not look good. I would either do a pale yellow, a light blue, or a light gray.
I have the same bedding. We painted our room a light slate blue/gray. I'll see if I can post pics tonight...it looks really pretty and soothing. I know it's not the contrast you're looking for though...

LOL - That is the bedding my friend has who used the light purple color like you described. And it is the same set I have (except I have the LNT cheap knock off) and I used yellow!

I think we might go with a purply/grey color too. It's not that much of a contrast but it goes and you're right it is soothing.
What are the other colors in the bedding? I haven't seen it in person in 2 years when we registered for it.
