Breathe. You're still in the clear. They always tell you to over invite, b/c something like 20% respond no or something. Go over the list with a fine tooth comb and see what you can do.It may not be worth going in the bigger room if you can keep the list at 300... Figure roughly 260 will show up...

Good luck chica, let us know what happens...

This is exactly what I'm concerned about. We're aiming for 200 but my guest list (unfinalized) is already over 250.

it will work out. Ask your parents if everyone on the list in their opinion will definatly come, talk to FH and its true the average is 20% will be no's. However I have heard it has jumped to more like 30% bc of the economy... sad but true... calm down it will work out

Re: PANIC ATTACK!!!

Everyone else already said it better... you'll need to over invite. 15-20% Nos are common, everyone always hopes that ALL of their guests say yes, but unfortunately, they can't.

Try not to worry- like everyone else said, not everyone will show up. Also, are there any people you can invite without a guest?

Re: PANIC ATTACK!!!

Same thing happened to us.....the best solution is make a 'A' 'B' & 'C' list, this helped us so much...then as people respond no you can send out more invitations to the people on the other lists.

FH and my parents and fil's dont want to cut anyone.... i dont really either!! lol

i dont mind about the growing guest list i just want to figure out if we'll need the larger room..... i spoke with fh last night and he agreed that it might be a good idea.... if we go over our max in the smaller room we have no where to put the extra guests, and if hwe dont meet our min in the larger rrom (which i think we will) we agreed to just suck it up and pay for the extra plates....

ill let you know what the final decision comes out to be!! keep your fingers crossed!

well they say 20% will say no so i think you should be okay... but if you are getting married at russo's what about the rennaisance room? that room should hold your amount comfortably.

I would switch to the other room. The same thing happened for my engagement party and it was so stressful worrying if everyone would fit and praying for no's. Not how you want to feel for your wedding. If you can switch I def would, just less stress especially if you've both come to terms with the slim chance you may not make the minimum.
