Paper Cutting

Paper Cutting

So I went to staples and they want to charge me $2 PER CUT (ie, I made menus and used half of a regular page thinking I'd just slice it in half)

Is there any type of craft paper cutter that you guys recommend? I saw a show on HSN about scrap booking cutters but there are way too many to choose from on their website and I want something that's reliable.

Any insight would be helpful. THANKS!

I bought a mini Xacto board from Staples. I think I paid about $17. It looked something like the first one on the page.

You can get an 18 inch paper cutter from Staples for$10 or so - they're really worth it.

I bought a paper cutter from staples-something like $20-its great though. It has guides for measurements on the board itself so you can cut evenly and straight everytime and its so easy to change the blade. I used it for my direction cards-I had three to a page and they all came out straight and even. I plan on using it for my programs and menus as well.

FH has the same one....we used it for our church directional cards!

If I do any other DIY that needs cutting I would definitely use it.

Re: Paper Cutting

I took my menu paper to Kinkos to be cut in half. For 100 sheets, it cost me less than $2!!

Any fiscars brand paper cutter in the scrapbooking section of ac moore or michaels.

Rolling blade is easier to cut with rather than using an xacto blade and ruler.

Don't forget a coupon!

You can also order paper online. As much as you want a pay a one time cutting fee for like 5 bucks. Invitesby you.com where I ordered my pockets for pocketfold invites does this.

Re: Paper Cutting

Just go to a craft store and get acutter from the scrapbook/stamping section... the rotary blade cutters or whatever they are called work the best.

I bought a Fiskars Personal Paper Trimmer. You just slide the paper in and slice away. It makes it so easy and they have different sizes. You should be able to find them in office supply and craft stores.

I use an X-Acto 12' Heavy-Duty Paper Trimmer. I bought it in staples a few years ago.

It's great.
