I'm so frustrated with Paradise. I freaking ordered my dress in JULY and they told me it would be in end of March, early April. Well I just called and they said MID MAY!

MID MAY?!?!? I'm adding freaking BEADING TO MY DRESS. They said I would need AT LEAST three fittings. I'm going to freak the hell out. I don't even have my head piece or veil yet because they freaking hold all orders. I wish I lied about my wedding date. UGHHHHH.

This isnt the first time I heard the same things from Paradise. My friend got married in July and she had her dressed ordered a year before that and it didnt come in until a week before she got married. It was a good thing nothing had to be altered.
But she did go in a make a huge scene because they did delay everything. Good luck ladies I hope everything works out.

OMFG. Really This cant happen.

I ordered my dress with them back in May 2010. My BC (barbara) told me it takes it should be in around Feb. Now its april and my wedding is a lil over a month away. I called them up and they said that they order to dress to come in 6 -8 weeks prior to the wedding. Well its about 8 weeks and i havent gotten a call.....ugggh.

OMG my mother just called there and they told her that they are sorry but the dress is running a lil late. They are going to have the manager call me and my mother later when they get a response from Justin Alexander.

ARE THEY KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW IM ABOUT T GO BRIDEZILLA ON THEM.

oh no!!!! you've made me nervous now since i have the same dress!! I'm wondering if i should call and start harassing them now to make sure they ordered it! yikes! keep us updated at when it comes in!

Order my dress in June, was told it would be in late Dec/early Jan. Called in early Jan, told it would be in late Feb, called again, told it would be in late March/early April... STILL NOT IN. It is now WITHIN the 6 week mark that they told me.

I cant even bring myself to speak about how horrible my experience(s) have been there.

Moral of the story?

I wouldn't send my worst enemy to that store.

Ok Ladies they call me last night and apogolize for the delay. they are shipping my dress overseas on the 16 so it should be here no later then the 22 of April lets hope.

My wedding was back in July 2010 and I bought my dress there. Please read my review for more information, but all I will say is buying the dress from there was a wonderful experience, however the alteration process was NOT!! In my opinion, do your best to stay on them as much as possible to avoid any stress the week of your wedding! Luckily I lied and said my wedding was 2 weeks before the actual day, which honestly was the best thing I ever did! Please FM for more info.

would not let me talk to the order people
I did say i want an exact delivery date when they call me back
when i called 2 weeks ago they never called me back so i went there with my mom and it was suppose to be in by now.
as for alterations they say we will make it work
WELL it's going to be at my schedule as I work full time and i'm in grad school in my last semester And have NO vaca time to take at work b/c i'm taking it all in June.

Im getting scared now that my dress wont be in august like the said after reading all these comments. I'm going there next weekend. I'm gonna tell them I moved my wedding up and getting married the begining of oct now. Maybe that will help. I'm not getting my alterations done there so as soon as it comes in im leaving with it

Nope still not in and we're now within the four week mark.

Any updates with your other paradise girls??

I cannot even begin to understand how they can expect me to still bring my dress to them for alterations... The last thing I want to do is spend more time in that store with all of those employees who lied straight to my face let alone give them more money. It's a disgrace!

OMG I'm terrified now... I hope my dress comes in on time and I ordered late!!!! Ugh!!!

Then, Richie comes out with the seamstress and says 'We have a problem.' At this point, my heart just sank to my stomach because thousands of things are going through my head. Then he explained that the reason he had me in for a first fitting is because when I was here the first time, the seamstress FORGOT to write down on the back of my dress tag that it was supposed to be altered for my second fitting, so it went back in the first fitting 'section'. It was not as bad as I thought, but still, what a waste of my f***ing time!!!! Thank God I have time before my wedding and I insisted on going earlier than I should have for fittings. *** Paradise???????????????

Honestly, I really hope Paradise checks out these boards. Their reputation has been going down BIG time on here with all these stories. My dress STILL isn't in (even though when I called the woman was like oh you are fine, we like all dresses to be in at the two month mark so you have your first fitting at 6 weeks out. Well guess what, we are under two months AND under 6 weeks and my dress still isn't in!!!!!!)

Makes me REALLY regret ordering from them and speaking so highly of them in the past.

UPDATE:
My dress came in on April 27th and my first fitting was on April 29th.

I had received a call on April 25 telling me my dress was shipping that day and was due in in 10 days.....sooo about 3 1/2 weeks before my wedding, after explaining and speaking to them, they got my dress overnighted and scheduled my first fitting for the day after it came in.

fitting went well. dress is way to big on top and needed a lot of alterations. while we were there they actually snuck my mom in for her first fitting too. she wasn't scheduled till tomorrow.

so far so good.

How about everyone else? did your dresses come in????

I had a similar experience... but they swear its going to be done by then.

Didn't come in until mid-April!

I had my first fitting last week, and my next one 2 weeks before my wedding! So far the alterations lady seems great!
