We were thinking about getting our parents parent albums as a thank you gift for helping out with the wedding, but our photographer is charging $500 for each parent album. This seems like a lot of money? I feel like for a little more money I could send them on a cruise. Is this what everyone else is paying? Does anyone have any other ideas for parent gifts?

Re: parent album?
Our package comes with one parent album- so for fmil, I am going to make her one on mypublisher.com or blurb.com- they allow you to put the pictures together online, they bind them and I think the cost is under $100- depending on how many pages- all you need is a dvd of your images from your photographer.

Re: parent album?
We are not doing the parent albums, only because my mom said its a waste. LOL. I was getting it, but since my mom and FH mom said no, at least iam saving some money!! They said they will be taking plenty of pics.

Re: parent album?
If you are getting your proofs on a printable CD then you can make the albums yourself.

Re: parent album?
They run about 200-500. Our photog said (since I could not pay that) wait till we get our proofs or the CD with the pics on it and make it at CVS or Kodak. My friend did this and it cost $50.00 to make one and it came out so nice. Its the mated look (sp). So worth it that's what we are doing since we need 4!

Re: parent album?
I just checked out the sites referenced above, anyone know if any websites make a regular album with real matted pictures as opposed to a book-style?
