ARe you guys giving gifts to your parents/his parents? If so, what and when?
I want to give something, but have NO CLUE what to do.

We are giving them one of our e-pics framed because our parents have no nice pictures of us together besides Prom Definately something else also but I don't know what.

Besides a parent album and a video of the wedding, we brought our parents gifts and are giving it to them at the RD. I wrote a poem for each and created this I brought my Dad this a put a pic of him and I when I was younger in it.

Those are sooo thoughtful and creative. We are giving the albums also, but no clue what else...

the dad's got yankee tix to go with all the guys in BP, my mom a beautiful white gold mother's ring, his mom a very nice diamond pendant.

we got our parents brushworks from thomas kinkade...i think that maybe we will get my parents something sent to them on the cruise that they are going on too. my parents are paying for half of the wedding, so i wanted to do something a little extra.
Somebody mentioned their getting their parents tickets for a cruise around manhattan. A gift certificate for dinner would work, or a broadway show maybe. In Modern Bride, they had listed a few things overnight stay at a B&B parents album Membership to a gift of the month club (fruit of the month, wine of the month etc) A professionally edited video or DVD featuring old footage of their wedding, honeymoon, or other special occasion.

None of FH's siblings gave his parents gifts when they got married so he doesn't want to do it.
Since we're going to Europe for our honeymoon, I think we'll just get them something while we were over there. That way we can say thank you without over shadowing the others.
But I am going to do something on my own for my parents. I am going to treat my mom to her mani and pedi the day before and I will pay for her make-up the day of. Still need to think of something for Dad.

Aside from the album and video, probably a nice engraved frame for a picture of either us, or our families . . . I'm sure something small and sentimental as well.

We got our parents these and we're putting our engagment pictures in them, also we got them albums engraved with our names and date.
We made each our mom's a scrapbook. Started w/pics of when we were growing up, the day we got engaged, engagement party, bridal shower, bachelor/bachelorette party, my dress fittings, the rehearsal dinner, getting ready for the wedding, the church, the first dance, cutting the cake, mother and son dance, etc, honemoon. For my dad I am doing a frame that holds 2 pictures, one of me and my dad when I was baby and then I will fill in the other side after the wedding of him walking me down the aisle. -Kelly
