Do you still buy gifts for your parents if they are not paying for the wedding at all? Are they meant to be thank you gifts? What if your parents are paying for everything and FH's parents are not paying at all...do you still get both sets gifts?

Re: parent gifts?
I would still get them gifts...maybe just something sentimental. I look at the parent gifts more as a thank you for raising me and stuff like that, not just for paying for some of the wedding.

how about getting them something like embroidered hankies? something small and (like the previous post) sentimental.

I got cute pink & white hankies with a poem in the box. I think they were from orientaltrading.com

I agree!
My FI and I are actually sending both of our parents away on trips. Trust me......after raising US, they deserve it!!!!!!!
