Re: Parent gifts??
We got them a copy of the book 'love you forever' by Robert Munsch (warning it will make you cry) My mother used to read it to me and my siblings when we were younger......and FH parents will love it too. Then we are going to get them a gift cert. to a nice restaurant. We want to say thanks for everything!

Re: Parent gifts??
I got my parents a pretty couble frame that shows a pic of me when I'm a baby/child and then a pic of me on my wedding day. Underneath it the pic of me as a kid, it says my bday. Underneath the wedding pic [of just me] it says my wedding date. I personalized up on the top 'your little girls always' [something like that lol] and I also gave them [not realzing the photographer would give us a nice one] a dvd case personalized with me and dh's name and wedding date, and a wallat picture can even be inserted. . . . [Got these from exlusivelyweddings.com]
I got my inlaws the same dvd case, and then I got them a small photo album with our names and wedding date. [exclusivelyweddings.com & www.thingsremembered.com]
The parents' albums are gifts, they just have to wait a bit for them. My parents were especially helpful so we got them a gift certificate to Peter Luger's.

Re: Parent gifts??
I plan on giving my mother a lenox piece of a bride & mother right before the wedding- she loves collectables, so that's perfect for her. we also preordered a parent album for her with our photo package & will give her an official copy of our wedding video as well.
not sure what we're doing for FH's parents, they haven't contributed to the wedding in any way & are really not the sentimental types. FH declined getting them a parent album as he felt they wouldn't really appreciate it. Maybe after the wedding we'll give them a 5x7 in a nice frame or something, just as a gesture.
I thought about doing a night away somewhere close by, like Rhode Island...but we'll see how expensive that is!!!

what about sending them to a bed and breakfast out east? there are some beautiful (and relatively inexpensive) places out on the east end, and t'l give them a chance to unwind after the wedding.

We gave my parents a gift card to Mohegan Sun. They loved it. They can use it for shows, overnight stays, the restaurants there, etc.

Re: Parent gifts??
We got both sets of parents double lenox frames. In one side we put their wedding pic and in the other side they will put our wedding pic. We also got both mothers embroidered hankies. I got my dad a pocket knife (he collects them) with an engraved blade (it says 'I'll always be your little girl' and then the wedding date) and we'll be getting somehting extra for FH's dad too, but not sure what yet.

Since my dad is Doing so much my FH and I are getting Him a Movado (my dad has been so amazing to us during these times - We feel like we owe him the world.) And my mom - I am not too sure yet because she has done everything for us as well--They both are going way beyond what we could've imagined.
