parent gifts

What do you usually get for your parents as a thank you for throwing you a wedding?

A hug and a kiss - we're broke! (But maybe we'll send them to Montauk (their favorite place) for a weekend after our wedding)

My parents really went above and beyond as far as financing our wedding so we wanted to go above and beyond in return... we bought them a 42' flat panel TV! DH's parents helped out a lot too, so we got 4 tickets to see Jersey Boys on Broadway (for us to go w/ them) and took them to dinner at Ruth's Chris. We spent a lot, but it was worth it to us for everything they did.

I got my dad a engraved pic frame and father of the bride cufflinks. I got my Mom earrings to wear the day of. There was also a website called excitations.com which was cool but, I wanted to get something more sentamental.

Our parents are paying for the entire thing. They mean the world to us and we really wanted to thank them in a big way.

For My Parents: Weekend stay at a bed and breakfast on the north fork, tours of and tastings at five wineries including a picnic lunch at one of the wineries, and a spa day for my mom.

My His Parents: Night at a nyc hotel, two tickets to a broadway show, dinner for two at a really upscale restaurant, and a couples massage.

We pretty much presonalized each vacation to each of our parents personalities. I will be putting an OOT bag in each of their hotels. We will also be arranging their entire itineraries so they really dont have to do anything. They can just sit back, relax, and enjoy.

Speaking of OOT bags, anyone have any ideas of what to put in the ones for my parents and the ones for his? Ideally, they would kinda go along with the type of vacation we are sending them on. Thanks!
