parent nightmare

My father & stepmother have decided they don't want to have anything to do with my wedding - and are saying nasty things about me to my relatives. I'm not sad but I am absolutely FUMING right now!!!

Sorry, just needed to rant a little.

rant away!! i can relate - FI's father has decided to boycott most events (incl. the wedding) as his on-again, off-again wife is not welcome. it amazes me how the claws can come out!!!

My father and his girlfriend pulled this crap about 3 weeks ago. FH and I called his bluff and told him ok don't come. Now he wants to come and has more or less shut up.

I am sorry that you are going through this but I know EXACTLY how you feel. Feel free to FM me if you need to vent!!

Hey I hear you - My FSMIL and FFIL have not offered to help at all they have basically said that they want to be spectators- but want the perks of FFIL.

Oh and they have dumped all over me to MY MOTHER, e-party guest, and make digs to me all the time.

They have even told us that they will hate the ceremony and everything and will not come in formal wear to the wedding. (even though we KNOW they wore formal clothing to FH's brother's wedding)

You are not alone - vent here as much as you need!
