I want to get them tickets to a show so they can all go out together and enjoy themselves.. so right now that, unless I think of something better.
i have no idea what i am doing for my parents or his parents yet.. but i have a few ideas in mind - i was thinking maybe a fancy picture frame so they can than put the picture of our wedding day (witch we are giving them the picture as well) with maybe than a gift certificate to a favorite resturant?? i also came across some cute personalized things that are really cute for them at things to remember.com.. so lets see what i decide on, i think this is another hard part along with deciding what to give the BM.. once i have all the gifts for everyone i think i will be more relaxed, ahh!!
my parents are contributing a lot, his are giving us a nice size wedding gift, for parent gifts we want to get something for them b/c they've been very supportive throughout the planning process....both parents so far are getting a picture of their choice from the wedding, the parent photo album, other stuff not sure, we were thinking a gift certificate to expedia for travel maybe
yeah our parents are also getting a photo album and picture of their choice.. so i was thinking of doing the nice fancy picture frame for the picture they than pick out.. and than another additional gift along with the picture frame?? havent thought to much into this year, im still worrying about the BM gifts cause i have not yet found any nice wine color/burgandy color jewlery!! =[
my sister did cufflinks for the dads that said father of the bride/groom and watches. for the mom's she got pearls.
Im glad this question was asked because Fh and I are paying for the wedding ourselves. No help from either side. So...of course I was planning on giving them a picture of us but do I get them anything else?

i have to give them something big because not only is me and FH paying for our wedding but my parents and his parents are also helping in a lot and giving us a big chunk of money to help towards the wedding so its only right we thank them with a nice big present! :)
Think about dinner at their favorite restaurant, or a night away at a nice hotel with dinner and transport included, it's hard because they have pets and my 90 year old grandfather so it can't be anything that requires an extended stay somewhere...so, probably an overnight and we would stay at my parents or dinner in the city at their favorite place
i got the mother embroidered hankerchiefs and have no idea for the dads!
8X10 Waterford Crystal Frames.....theya re getting the photo from the photographer and we wanted to get them a nice frame to put it in
nothing!!!! they are not contributing to the wedding. we will give them a nice framed picture from the wedding but that is it!!
we are thinking of doing parent albums for them...they were not included in our photo package...so as long as they are not crazy $$ we will do this
we're getting them parents albums casue they're included in our package and probably something else just not sure what.
See this is going to be hard for us we have 3 sets of parents to buy for. I know my Mom and step-dad are getting something crystal from Tiffany's but I am at a loss for my FH's parents and I am at a loss as to what to get my Father. For my Father I am leaning towards a gift card, I know it is impersonal but he and I are not close in the least. HTH!
