Parents

OK, parents are not paying for much of this however, they are becoming increasingly troublesome in areas they have agreed to pay. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yeah. But I have to say that I am grateful, and in the grand scheme of things, it's not worth arguing over. You'll look back at it and laugh one day.

My parents arepaying for the whole thing and they have become PSYCHOTIC.... to the paint that I think I may need therapy... But they just want to have control on everything... the worst being the guest list.... The odd thing is though, we have to do menu selections at the end of the month, and THAT They do not wantto have any part in... strange.... I just typically smile and nod and then so cry in the corner (I am not a confrontational person)

My parents want to pay for the wedding. I told them no and the reason being it's my wedding and I do not want them to think it's theirs. I know they will give us what they would have spent on the wedding as our gift. Many couples pay for all costs themselves so they can avoid this. I hope that it work out for you.

We are having a similar experience with both my parents and his parents. They want to be involved in the decisions for just about EVERYTHING. We have to constantly remind them that they had their weddings already. It definitely gets frustrating. But one of my mom's friends had a great piece of advice for me. She said whenever they start getting all opinionated you say, 'I value your opinion, but the ultimate decision is up to my fiance and myself.' You should see the looks on their faces -- it's priceless!!!
