Parents and limos

my fmil is a pain in the butt so I am not sure whether to take the fact that she thinks it looks bad and 'cheap' not to provide a limo for the parents to go to the reception.

I am having a limo bring us all home at the end of the night.

I also figured the bridal party wouldnt want to have parents with them.

This is just getting too expensive and my parents could care less.

Should I get another one, or put them in with the bridal party what are you all doing?

Re: Parents and limos

How far is your church and reception?

Both sets of parent are going in the bus with the bridal party.
However, if I didn't do the bus, I would have gotten an extra car for my parents and the future in-laws since I'd feel bad to have them drive themselves.

I think that the parents of the bride and groom should get some sort of VIP treatment. But then again, I think my FILs are awesome and I WANT to treat them right.

Re: Parents and limos

I agree - I think the parents should get some sort of VIP treatment - even though I can't stand my FMIL

My dad is going in the limo with me, and my mom is going with my girls. For the FIL's I was going to put FMIL in the limo with the guys, since that is where FI is getting ready. Not sure what to do with FFIL, since FI's parents are divorced and I'm not sure where his father is going to be that morning. If he's with FI, then I'll put both FIL's in the guys limo.

Re: Parents and limos

I am not providing limos for the parents. It just all adds up and they would need a way to get home anyway. My parents dont care but I actually havent said anything about it to my FMIL yet

Re: Parents and limos

All parents & grandparents went to church in the limos. They all went to the reception in their own cars. It was too expensive to do it any other way.

If they want to ride to the reception in a limo, then don't have a limo come pick you all up after the reception. Let them find a ride home with whomever is around.

Re: Parents and limos

Thanks guys, guess it is nice to provide a limo for them it is just how she demanded it that got me mad you know, Vicki you are right it is expensive to keep adding stuff and we are paying for it ourselves.

But I wouldnt be spending any extra cash to have them join the bridal party limos, maybe I will just do that.
