Parents gift?
This must sound somewhat strange - but FH and I aren't sure what to do about giving parent gifts. My mom died a long time ago, and my dad and I aren't really speaking (not even sure he'll come to the wedding at this point). So I dont think i'll have to get anything on my side.
FH's dad died a while ago as well, and his mother is re-married to someone we're not really crazy about. They are not contributing to the wedding at all.
I know we should probably get something for his mom at the very least, but i have no idea what!

I feel like you usually give parents gifts to thank them for hosting, or even just to thank them for whatever they've done for you. But it sounds like the circumstances don't really apply, so I'd say you can skip it!

Maybe just something simple for his mom like a personalozed handkerchief. Not too pricey but still shows you care.

Exactly - I feel like the gift is usually a little something to say 'thanks for everything' but we haven't gotten a penny from them lol. Not that I care, but do i have to get a gift for the sake of getting a gift? But at the same time, i feel weird NOT getting something for her at all - and even weirder for not including her husband.

I agree with the handkerchief, because you can just have it say 'mother of the groom' and the date or something similar, simple. If you feel the need to include her husband (which I feel like isn't necessary at all) but if you do, a monogrammed handkerchief is a small token and you don't have to write anything emotional lol just his initials.

I did handkerchiefs for my mom and dad (plus something else). My mom is a BIG crier and my dad actually still uses hankies so they loved them. I purchased mine from Li'l Inspirations http://www.lil-inspirations.com. I loved how they turned out and my parents loved them also.Welcome New Vendors
