parents gifts...

what are you all giving your parents as gifts? any unique and creative suggestions??

After my RD drama I'm not sure if we are even going to do it.

Some ideas I've heard depending upon your budget and how much they have contributed...

1. Broadway show tickets

2. A gift cert. to their favorite restaurant

3. Wine of the month club

4. Weekend at a bed and breakfast.

5. Spa day or mini-spa day for mom

6. Tickets to a sporting event for Dad

7. If mom or dad is a collector of a particular thing or has a certain hobby.

8. The parent album. We are getting three copies of the DVD and I may just give FH's parents that as their gift for the wedding or it's their holiday gift if ready by then. My Dad contributed a lot more to the wedding but I am paying for most of it. I might get him tickets to a Mets game. He's handicapped and can't get out on his own so maybe 3 tickets, one for FH, one for me, one for Dad and we'll take him in August after the wedding.

9. I had a friend whose parents were really into gardening and she paid for them to take a class in master gardening.

So many things. What do your parents like to do?

I had a quilt made for my parent's And we had a pic made by picture yourself graphics. Both were a huge hit.

We haven't decided yet on everything... so far we have:

moms-broaches from swarovski and grandma's same thing....

still working on something else too!!!

I'm giving them something they never thought they'd have - their youngest child married!!!

I think I may give them some sort of album or scrapbook full of all sorts of pictures and memories. Those are the types of things they love the most. Invaluable!

We're still not sure FFIL and FSMIL but for the two moms we're getting double 8x10 frames. On one side of the frame will be the words to the song we're dancing with each of them to and on the other side will be a note that when we get the pics back from the photographer, we're going to get an 8x10 of us dancing with them to that song and put in the frame.
