i got my dad a statue of a little girl dancing on her daddy's toes - from execlusively weddings...

I got my mom the mother statue (lenox) where the mom is helping her daughter with the veil. It's more beautiful that i thought it would be...

It's a lot of work, but I am making them each a scrapbook of FH and I when we were little. I am on the left of the book growing up, and he is on the right side of the book growing up.

Not sure yet. My parents are essentially paying for most of my wedding (actually, more of a gift from my late grandmother) and I want to get them something to show my appreciation.

FMIL and FFIL . . . probably gift certificates to a nice restaurant. They are divorced so we would have to get two.

we got my dad a waterford frame for our wedding pic, and FH's parents a lenox frame. we also got FH's parents a 26' flat screen for the spare room since they are helping out so much w/ the wedding.

we made a copy of both our parents wedding photos and had an artist do a pastel painting of them and we gave it to them the night of the rehearsal....check out my review for some photos

I think we might get them each (my parents are divorced, so my mom, my dad, and FHs parents....) a digital picture frame and then upload all of our wedding proofs in it for them so we dont have to worry about parent albums.. Makes it easier on them...
But they wouldnt be able to get their gift until after the wedding, obviously.. So not sure what to get them before hand.. Something little thats for sure....

FH and I talked about getting my parents a TV because they are paying for our entire wedding. We make fun of them constantly b/c the TV they have is so old and the color is starting to go! They watch shows and half of someone's face is normal color and the other side is purple! It's been like that for so long, they don't even notice anymore. I really want to get my mom that Lenox figurine too... it's beautiful!!

I love the TV idea for my parents b/c their t.v. is so tiny. FH's parents are a huge question mark soon. We are thinking of getting them tickets to a play and dinner

That sounds like the TV my folks used to have! It was one of those box sets with the wood around it from the 70s that didn't have a remote. They waited until we were all out of the house before upgrading to a nice new set and (finally) getting cable.

Is anyone getting their parents just parents albums from wedding pics (that is, if their parents aren't paying for the pictures!).

hm well now that my parents are contributing I guess we have to get them a gift, is a parent album a good enough gift or do I have to get them something on top of that?
