Parents gifts

I say you can get different things. It might depend how much they are contributing as well.

for DH's parents we got them a wine tasting excursion on a european cruise they were already going on (they're going with DH's aunt and uncle so we were able to get all the info from them and keep it a surprise until the RD).

for my parents we are planning a weekend in NJ with us, we'll put them up at a hotel and plan activities for the 4 of us to do together. That's the kind of gift my parents really appreciate ('the gift of time' as my mom would say!)

I also got personalized hankies for all 4 parents, and DH got engraved cufflinks for the dads.
