ok - i usually am very good at gift giving - and the one time in my life i want to really make it count - i'm coming up with nothing. what are you girls getting for mom's as a gift?
how about Dad's - one that wouldn't really want cuff links etc....
i'm soooo stuck!

I need a gift for FIL from us. My dad is deceased. So many girls say picture frames etc......we didnt want anything like that. I would like something for him.

We're bad and not giving gifts, since our parents are helping us, they'd actually be mad if we spent money on them for things they don't even need. Ha ha! I know that sounds bad

i haven't decided yet. I definitely don't think we'll be giving them anything until AFTER the wedding (when we have money again). Is that normal? Either way... not sure. Probably just a really nice frame with a blown up picture of us all at the wedding.

for the rehearsal
my mom - got her pretty earrings and am paying for her hair and makeup (and ill probably throw in a hankie) stepmom - not sure yet (probably something like candles and spa/decor related cuz she likes that sort of stuff)
my dad - cufflinks and man hankie hehehe my stepdad - cufflinks
gma - frame (which ill put in a pro pic after the wedding) and hankie
fmil - hankie and im not sure what else thats up to fh
after the wedding...we're getting them all albums with pro pics and probably a bigger individual picture
other ideas - dinner to their fave place...maybe a trip out to the vineyards or a little getaway...spa stuff or gc, tix to a sporting event...stuff that's more personalized to their likes

I got my dad a engraved compass from Red Envelope with a note that reads thank you for always leading me in the right direction, and a collage frame with pics throughout my life. For my mom I got get custom made DOJ and a hankie. For FMIL in law the same as my mom, for FH's step-dad we got him an engraved can coozie (he is really laid back and we always get him beer related gifts.)

i rented a limo for 8 hours that will pick up my mom, my dad, his mom and his dad (since they all get along reallllly well) and take them to the city for dinner which we are getting a gift card for and then to see Jersey Boys which we already got the tickets for

We gave my parents tickets to the US Open for super saturday and we gave his parents tickets to see Chicago on Broadway.
Then I got my mom and dad an extra special something since my mom was such a phenomenal help during the entire planning process and they both contributed so much mula...
So I bought my mom a Tiffany's necklace to wear the day of and I bought my dad a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Label (he's a big scotch drinker)
