We're having our wedding reception at the Metropolitan in Glen Cove. They said they could get us the permit to have photos taken at a park in Glen Cove... You need to be a town resident to get the permit, so the RH can get it for us.
I forgot the name of the park! Does anyone happen to have any idea what park it could be? We're heading up that way to drop off a payment this weekend and wanted to check it out. Obviously, we'll ask when we drop off the payment... but I thought maybe someone on here might have an idea.
Thanks!

Re: park in Glen Cove for pictures
I'm pretty sure it's Morgan Park. My bestfriends live over there and that's where they are taking their wedding pictures

Re: park in Glen Cove for pictures
Here's some directions I found
To Morgan Memorial Park, Glen Cove, NY Travel the Long Island Expressway (I-495) to Glen Cove Road; travel north. After passing intersection at Glen Head Road, Glen Cove Road is marked route 107 north. Follow route 107 north into Glen Cove by taking the left fork bypass which ends at the Glen Cove Fire Department (facing you). Turn right onto Brewster Street. At the third traffic light, turn left onto Cottage Row (Asian restaurant on corner). Go to first light, make a half left, and then an immediate right onto Landing Road. Travel down Landing Road to almost the end. Morgan Park is on the left. Turn left onto Germaine Street. The park entrance is on the right.

It is Morgan Park (our RH is the Met. too!) but I don't know what type of back-up plan to have in case the weather doesn't want to cooperate!

Re: park in Glen Cove for pictures
I know eactly what park you are talking about- I used to live 2 blocks from it- and I never knew the name of it!! I wasn't an actual resident and used to go there all the time to read and no one ever said anything to me. but i wasn't standing out either (like in a white dress getting my pics taken) but def call the town and see what they say.

Oh, no the Metropolitan gets the permit for us - that won't be a problem.
We just wanted to check out the park to make sure we liked it for pictures!

Re: park in Glen Cove for pictures
We did ours there and the pics came out great! Can't go wrong with the sunset and the beach! : )
FYI though, I asked The Met if weather wasn't good that day if we could go to the hall mega early to take pictures and they said it would be no problem. Just double check to see if there is another event before yours...
