Does anyone know if there is a limitation to how long you can park your car in one spot? I have two neighbors that have been parked in the same spot for over a month now, HAVE NOT MOVED, and they are taking up 3 spots!! Parking is tough enough on our block. So i was wondering if they can get a ticket. hehe

Re: Parking limit?
I had this problem with my neighbors in Massapequa. They had a car and a truck parked in front of their house for at least a YEAR!! They were there so long that there was grass growing under them. I didnt care that it was in front of thier house but they didnt have enough room to park their cars so they would park in front of our house...leaving us with no spot to park. I called the town a couple times becasue of 2 reasons....1) the van had commercial plates on it and you are not allowed to park a commercail vehical in a residentional area after 6am on the street.(that is in MAssapequa) 2) both vehicles looked like they were from the junkyard...both windsheilds were cracked, tires flat, registration and inpection both expired. it made the neighborhood look like crap
The cops came twice but I do not think they really cared about it because they never got moved. It really ****ed me off because these people had this huge driveway and never used it!!!

Re: Parking limit?
thats the thing... there are 8 apts with garages/driveways on our block, 6 of them are NEVER used!!! and i know one of the cars belongs to a vacant driveway! thats BS! if you don't want to use your driveway give it to me... there are 3 apts in each of those 8 apts... so imagine how hard parking is.

I would contact the town..
on a side note...there was a car parked next to my house in hs (we were on a corner) and one night...it blew up (they did it for insurance)...I am serious...no one was hurt...but my room was the closest to the explosion...scary thought...now anytime there is an unknown car...my parents call the police

Re: Parking limit?
I was wondering the same thing. THere's been one in front of my building for at least 4 months!
Erica, that must have been so scary! Thankfully no one was hurt.
Why blow up a car near someone's house? Why not to some dead end commercial area? (I am not condoning the insurance fraud, but if someone plans to do something like that, why there?)
