I haven't booked yet or started looking but my volunteer ambulance company uses Parties Alive every year for their Installation Dinner (usually held at Larkfield or Watermill). They're very good, I'd definitely recommend them. We've never had any issues with them and always played what was requested by the woman in charge of setting it all up.

I'm booked with Parties Alive, during the planning process we met with/spoke to a bunch of companies and they all tried to upsell us big time, we wanted something basic, and they were the only company that respected our wishes and didn't try to push crazy lights, tv, and other add on's (although they do have all these services they just weren't being sales men). FH and I really appreciated that, and after seeing them at a show case we booked right away.

We used parties alive and I cannot say enough good things about them! Rich was awesome to work with and did amazing on our wedding day! The dance floor was packed all night and he delivered when a chant of 'one more song' started after he played what was supposed to be the last song of the night. Like the previous poster said they didn't try to sell us on things we didn't need like other dis do, he asked us what we wanted and went from there.

I used Parties Alive because I went to a wedding Rich MC'ed and liked him. On the day of my wedding, some random guy introduced himself to me as my MC. He didn't seem to know about anything we'd discussed with Rich during the planning process. I was really pissed, because the guy left us with some awkward situations. If you do book them, I'd recommend including who will be your MC in your contract. Also, steer clear of their photobooth, we had major problems with it.
