I hate the passport agency!! They LOST FH's passport/original birth certificate!!!!! They said it was mailed 3/25 but according to the PO it was never mailed, just the label was made, but according to the passport idiots they did mail it!!
Noone cares that this package includes his ORIGINAL birth certificate!! FFIL gave us the orig not a copy
Noone is helping!!! Its unreal. Go get a person that will acutally help you too!! All they say is sorry its been mailed.

Anyone have suggestions before I kill the passport people??

write to somebody in washington. I forgot who you have to write to. Ill find out for you if you want or somebody else on here might know the answer. When fh's passport took a long time to come in and this was before they were all behind after the new rules, we wrote a letter. Him and his brother did it the same day and his brother had received it a few short months before Fh and nobody knew where his was. His mom actually wrote a letter and we received it fed ex overnight

It's fairly easy to get a new BC. He just has to go to town hall in the town he was born and ask for another one. then tell the PP people to get him a new one ASAP

Tell him to put an alert out with the credit agencies that his info is out there and they will call everytime he (or someone) tries to open a new credit account or make a large purchase. The passport application has his SSN on it and all his info. That with his birth certificate is all someone needs to steal his identity.
As for getting a passport, go get a copy of the BC from town hall and apply for a new one.. (from a different post office). Mine took only 9 days to get to me.

yeah thats the 800 number onthe site. Call 411 and find out the direct number to the us department of state passport service in washington

I recieved my passport but never got my birth certificate back. I ended up having to go to the town hall in the town I was born and getting another copy of it.
