Yes, you do need a passport. St lucia is not a US island. I just checked their website and they ask all visitors to have a passport.

You can get one in about a week, relax, get the application online or at the post office. If you do it fed-ex you will get it asap.

passport is required after 12/31/05.... you can bring two forms of id (birth certifcate/liscense)
also ask you agent

I did ask on both, I originally asked on the 05 board, but then I thought I should ask on the other board figuring there were married ladies who already went to St. Lucia. Sorry for the confusion. Thanks for answering my question
