Passports??

Quick questions about passports. Is it true that starting 2008 we are going to need passports to travel in the states???

Isn't it 10x more expensive though.

i got my passport 2 times at the passport agency in 1 day, its how i do it, never did it through the post office...But its closed on the weekends, that was the problem and by monday it was too late bc they had all the services that weekend

no lol i paid $95 to get it through the passport agency in 1 day

Ok i found this Hawaii Brides..

Do I need my passport to get to Hawaii?
Since Hawaii is the 50th state, you won't need to bring your passport unless you're visiting from outside the United States or traveling to another country after Hawaii.

Actually I am finding some strange stuff about needing Passports for Hawaii....ANy other Hawii bries out there???

yeah and my dad always has a passport but it expired middle of last year and this happened end of last year and he just didnt get a chance to do it...Even now i am so glad i have a passport bc for our HM we would need one and its such a mess...Ive gotten it twice at the Passport agency on the same day but two weeks before my wedding its not something i want to do, bc you have 2 make appt two weeks before you leave. FH got it last year before our cruise so neither of us have to worry about passports

Yeah dont wait to get one, apply for one now, Im guessing 08 will be just as busy with people going away around May. I think mine expires in 2010. One year I had paid to get it next day bec that week I was due for Greece , I go soo scared I was like that it, no vaca for me, but luckily it came just in time

no not to travel in the states
you need it to go on cruise that goes to another country which was not needed in the past

FH applied in July and got it in 3 weeks and we did NOT expedite it

for hawaii youll be find, if you are travelling to another country like in the caribbean, mexico, etc then you will need one. hawaii is a state , so you do not need one to travel.
