What was your overall opinion about the place? Would it be okay to make your own centerpieces or let someone else do it. Since they are pricey as it is, I am looking into this option. Also if you got married under the gazebo, did you have to do much decorating? Thank ladies!!!!
I did not get married there but my sister did in October 2002 (I was MOH). My sister was VERY happy with WCC overall. I thought they did a wonderful job with everything. I am not sure if they allow you to make your own cp's (but I am pretty sure they do) but my sister used Flowers by Matthew (a house vendor there) and she was very happy with their work. Flowers by Matthew also did all of the ceremony flowers which were beautiful. She had the ceremony under the gazaebo- it was great - the only thing I would recommend is to have the sound system checked - no one in the back could hear the ceremony! I had my reception there in August. Everything was wonderful, you have nothing to worry about. I also used a florist for the centerpieces, however, I added things to the tables on my own and they said nothing to me when it came time for them to display them. I'm pretty sure you can make your own centerpieces. Good luck.
Thanks ladies. Planning from out of state is just crazy!!! Do i need alot of decorations on the gazebo? What about the centerpieces, is that all the room needs or do i need to decorate?
Centerpieces will be enough decoration for the room - are you upstairs or downstairs? As for decorating the gazaebo (sp?), since you are getting married in summer the grounds will be beautiful as is - my sister had a few arrangements around the gazaebo but I think that was it. It was plenty.
