Past Brides Q: What time should I get makeup done?
I am trying to coordinate hair and makeup, and it is (I think) the toughtest task so far. I dont want to be all ready at 11am when my ceremony isn't until 5 (pics are at 2pm).
BUT my BM and myself + MOB and MOG are all getting hair/makeup done by the same 2 girls.
How did you coordinate it all??

it took a little over an hour for myself and my 5 BMs to get their hair and makeup done, but at the salon we went to they had one stylist for each girl. Since you have two people doing hair and makeup, definitely allow more time. I remember feeling kinda rushed, so make sure you give yourself time so you dont stress. Since your pics are at 2, maybe start doing hair and makeup at 11:30 or 12?

Sorry, I'm no help I did my own makeup and it took all of 15 minutes

honestly, find out what time ur photographer wants to be there, tell your makeup artist, and THEY will tell YOU a time depending on how many people you're having done. Don't worry about things u dont have to worry about

yea they deal with this stuff all the time..they will know what to do..let them worry about it.

I would gauge it by your photographer, ask them when they will arrive, this also depends on if they will be taking pics of you getting ready. Then ask your mu person and hair person how long approx they think it will take, consider that you can get your hair done while someone else gets their mu done also.

i third that. my MU artist was able to gage off of when my photographer was coming and what time my ceremony was. i got my hair done at 930, was home by 1130 (i have very thick hair), mu artist came at 1215, photog was there at 1 for the end of make up time, i got dressed, we left my house at 250 for our 3pm mass which was 2 min away. best thing i can suggest for the entire day's timeline is work it back from the end of the night with your hall. once you know that cake will be cut at X time, bo-k and garter at x, you can work it all back from there including your photog and mu, and hair. gl!

ditto. they know how much time they will need to get your makeup done. I let my hair/maek-up artist know what time I needed to get out of the salon, and they let me know what time to be there.
