past duet brides

went to see them yesterday and i love their work...i think my biggest dillema right now is which album style do i want...

i love the casual day shoot idea, and how this can be added to the video to complete our 'wedding story'...

but fh brought up 2 questions after we left, that i want to call nicole/eric about but i also want to get feedback from those who have used them already...first, fh is concerned that so far, they are the only vendors we've seen that requires full payment by the wedding date and second, fh feels that the video they showed us had a lot of 'glares', which i thought was what they were using at certain times to transition from one scene to another...

if anyone can give feedback, i would really appreciate it...thanks

You should FM littlecat..she used Duet and had nothing but rave reviews about them. Her feedback is what prompted us to go visit Duet and ultimately book them for our wedding. Good luck

I am also a past duet bride. I wil get video soon, but the ones I looked at, I never noticed any glares.
At first, when they wanted full payment, I sort of was reluctant myself, but I paid half like 4 weeks prior, then the rest on my wedding night. You can work with them, say you are uncomfortable, and they will work with you. Honestly, I was at first the same, but it really doesn't make a difference. You should not base it on that, because again they will work with you to meet your needs.
I dont have anything negative to say, because they were extremely professional, and nice and my wedding day, and everytime I had a question they always met my needs.

We haven't used them yet but we felt the same way about paying them everything before the wedding day because the actual photos or video when the final payment is given. We were going to ask to withold a minimal amount just as a gaurentee that we'd get our things but after talking about it more with our parents, we decided to let it go. They have insurance just like every other vendor does (or should have) so if there is a problem (god-forbid), we have a recourse we can take. But I am 100% sure it won't come to that. So- I know how you feel about this. But every vendor does it and nobody I know has ever had a problem getting their finished product.

We're only doing the casual day with photos (no video) but the sample video they showed us had the casual day shoot incorporated into the finished video- it was really cool!

If you post this on the 'official Duet thread', you'll get a lot of responses.

thanks everyone...i fell inlove with them, but fh just had questions, so i figured i'd put out the questions to see other's reactions...this site is definitely better than the better business bureau as far as feedback is concerned...
