Just wondering how was it? Because I hear it is long and corny. I'm not interested in having something cut into my dancing time if its not worth it.

Re: Past JT Brides who did champagne march
I've been to a couple of weddings (not at JT) that did that and I thought it was corny as hell. What really drove it home was look on the faces of the wait staff - you could tell they were just loving it! (not)

yeah i went to a wedding at JT just 2 wks ago and they had the champagne march thing---the staff had smirks on their faces that said 'omg i hate doing this ridiclious thing' --- i didn't quite get the point of it . they go around in a circle and then...pour you champagne.

It was just so weird and seemed so excessive (like they were 'indentured' servants) the first time I saw it. I felt like I was transported to that Eddie Murphy movie, 'Coming To America'. I was waiting for the FOB to walk out with a big dead lion's head on his shoulder.

Re: Past JT Brides who did champagne march
i really wish they had a video of it on you tube or something so i could see it first....it might be something that the older guests will get a kick out off - you know what i mean? i just think its crappy that the waitstaff look so miserable - maybe it wouldnt be so bad if they didnt have a puss on their face how long does it last?

Re: Past JT Brides who did champagne march
It's one of those things where it probably doesn't last more than a minute but seems to go on for ages.
Think of it as marching band practice but with bottles of champaign instead of instruments, meets Friday's/Applebees Bday cake march.
Ooh ooh! I just remembered! The first one I saw, at the end they gave the bride a red rose.

The first time I saw it, I thought it was pretty cool...but I can see how having to do that for every event can get to the workers. If I had to look at that again, I think I'd be annoyed..but watching it for the first time was okay.

I went to a wedding at VL and they had it-it was the first time I had seen it and I thought it was pretty cool.
The point of it is to present to the bride & groom their congratulations-from the staff of the RH. That is why they do it.
Im sure it can be swapped out if you dont want it-like I said-I thought it was cute

It wasn't corny at all. It was actually pretty cute. It was also very short. I didn't even know anything about it until that day so its not like i had a choice anyway . lol. But, it was cute though. No worries.

Re: Past JT Brides who did champagne march
Its one of JT's signatures.
I've been to a couple of weddings there and I would have to admit the first time I saw it, I thought it was different and a nice touch.
they just come out with bottle of champagne and do a quick formation. literally its over in like 2-3 minutes, so its not eatting up your reception time. The older guests might appreciate it more.
